WHAT IS BRIDGE KIDZ?
Bridge Kidz offers a fun and loving environment, while teaching children about the love of Christ. Our fun spirited Bridge Kidz volunteers, who each have been background checked, are devoted to teaching children and helping parents disciple their families.
What Can you expect?
You will be provided with a prepared lesson and supplies to teach. Children learn memory verses, hear bible stories, sing, play games, and do crafts. Our volunteers are trained to execute the lessons and are paired with other qualified volunteers.
Already attending The Bridge Church? We would love for you to employ your skills and passions to serve the Bridge Church community on Sunday’s. Check out our Sunday Teams below!
The Connect Team consists of a group of loving individuals whose role is to welcome, connect, and follow-up with guests and members. We try to show love to every single person that walks through the door on Sunday’s. That might be a smile or that might be helping someone get plugged into our church family. The connect team also leads Connect Central which serves as the ativan.
The Worship team strives to create an environment that allows both the Christian and non-Christian to feel the freedom to worship and connect with God. The team consists of vocalists and musicians. We desire to create an atmosphere of vulnerability, while communicating the vision of Bridge Church through our music and being ministers of the Gospel of Jesus through song.
In the same manner that members of a family set up for a reunion, our Facilities Team serves to prepare our space for communion with God and authentic community with each other. As a church we value service.
The media team is comprised of two sub teams: Audio and Visual. The audio team uses the mixing board to control the levels of the sound coming from our musicians, singers and speakers. The visual team ensures that the proper text, picture, and video files are prepared and shown at the correct times during the service.
CHIPS, located in Park Slope, is a soup kitchen that serves 3 meals a day, 6 days a week to those who struggle with hunger and homelessness. CHIPS also has 9 rooms which provide housing for young mothers and their babies.
The Community Garden is connected to the Brooklyn Women’s Shelter in East New York in association with Brooklyn Community Services. The women’s shelter is a transitional living community that provides shelter for homeless, low-income, mentally ill women. The outside garden is attached to the shelter and is very therapeutic as the women get the chance to spend time in the garden water and nurturing the plant life.
